Wow, that's really cool. Just wondering, though. Considering what it's built from(ironing board and all), doesn't it make quite a bit of noise when you roll the camera along the rails?

Nop, it's quiet, I still am working the bugs out of it for the graveyard shots in Chicken for Checos music video.

Liza - "The wheels for the micro grip dolly.

I found a way to plane the wheels for the dolly, this makes all the differance in the world.

I put a nut and bolt through the wheel and put it on a drill so I can
spin them at high speed, and useing a piece of sand paper with a stick, I can shave off all the molding flaws and make them smoth and round."

I think I understand the point of the wine glass but do realize still shots don't show us much... I could take a shot of a wine glass balanced on my nose... doesn't mean it would be stable and smooth :P
Mother did it need to be so high?

I didn't doubt you... just saying the wine glass stills don't convey that ... I am assuming that was their purpose.

I wanted to see how smooth it was so if the water in the glass diden't move around and it diden't.

Just some cheap wood for a box, and I covered it with what I think is micaboard, it's like realy heavy cardboard, you find it used a lot on the backs of furniture, one side is smooth and the other has a patern to it.

Filled the seam with Bondo dent shit sand and paint, 2hrs work and ya got a 8x8 greenscrean.
